BE FlLLED with the HOLY SPIRIT

Acts2:1-4 When the day of Pentecost came, all the believers were gathered together in one place. Suddenly there was a noise from the sky which sounded like a strong wind blowing, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire, which spread out and touched each person there. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to talk in other languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak. Please continue to read the rest of it from your Bible.

As we all know, God the Holy Spirit, is the third Divine Person in the Holy Trinity, together with the Father and the Son. Our Lord Jesus, before he left this earth, he gave an order to his disciples, a command that they have to wait for the mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Jesus knows that without the Holy Spirit we cannot do anything. To be filled with the Holy Spirit is the most powerful thing that can happen to a Christian in this life. You have to experience it. You might say, yes l have received the Holy Spirit in my baptism and confirmation. Yes, we all received the Holy Spirit through the two Sacraments. The relationship begins with the releasing or infilling or infusing of the power of the Holy Spirit within you. We can receive it by the laying on of hands over you or you can do it on your own by calling on Jesus to release his power over you. Most importantly you have to come to him with an open heart to receive this special relationship. This is not a Sacrament. On the day of Pentecost, they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, they were bold and courageous to proclaim the Good News. They were on fire for Jesus. Today we need the same fire that they had from the early Church. The fire is always here in the Church, the Spirit of God, but the problem is we do not see through the eyes of faith because we have not been inviting him as we should. lf you have been neglecting the Holy Spirit, start afresh tonight just turn to him and say, come Holy Spirit, fill my heart with your fire, and keep on repeating it over and over everyday, within a month believing what you are saying you will receive the Holy Spirit. Always invite the Holy Spirit in your heart and in your life for without the Holy Spirit we are nothing and cannot do nothing. l can assure you that your prayer is going to be answered.
